Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has presented the budget estimate of 454,308, 862,113.96 Billion Naira for 2024  fiscal year before the State House of Assembly.

The budget comprised:- 124, 329,900,378,70 billion naira Recurrent Expenditure and 329,979,518,595,97 billion naira Capital Expenditure.

Speaking while presenting  the budget before the Katsina State. law makers, Governor Dikko Radda said the year 2024 budget was comparatively higher than the 2023 budget by 153,675,604,150.96 billion naira.

Governor Radda explained that, the total amount of recurrent revenue to finance the 2024  budget was 188,061,977,186.28 billion naira which comprises 40 billion naira as Internally Generated revenue from the State Board of Internal Revenue and other MDAs.

He said the projected revenue to be received from the Federation Account was estimated at the sum of 148,061,977,168.28 billion naira.

Governor Umaru Radda said Water Sector has the largest share of 67,161,802,447.30.billion naira followed by Education sector which has 66,422,889,400.20. billion naira and Works 53,482,733,251.59.billion naira respectively.

However, Health 38,326,241,172.23, billion Naira, Environment 37,700,116,210.24 billion Naira and  Agriculture, 20,513,909,753. 71 billion Naira.

On Security, the Governor reiterated his administration commitment to leave no stone unturned in its quest to restore peace and tranquility across the 34 local government areas in the state.

Governor Dikko Radda disclosed that, the State and the Local Government councils have committed Seven (7) billion naira on security intelligence, gathering of information, screening and training of security personnel.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda expressed gratitude for the mutual respect, understanding, support and cooperation of the legislature in moving Katsina state forward.
